This is really belated since I already started summer two weeks ago. I went through my first year of post-secondary school, I look back and I'm not satisfied. To be honest I failed a course in my first semester so I'm taking it again this summer, I am determined to get somewhere around a B or more (hopefully an A) since it's the only course I'll be taking and I have no excuses to slack off. During the winter break my face broke out so much due to the stress that I was getting from being worried whether I passed three of my courses or not. I really regret not doing as well as I should have been. But I learned from my horrible mistake. Once second year starts, I am going to be fired up to get A's. I promise myself I will do better, be more positive and reach for my highest potential.
For now, I'll be studying for my summer course, and study ahead for courses I'll be taking this upcoming Fall 2011. This year I finally finished the book Snowflower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See. I haven't read a book for leisure in many years since high school started so I found that a nice accomplishment. =) I am currently reading: Feynman's Rainbow - A search for beauty in physics and in life by Leonard Mlodinow and Bite-Size Science by Robert Dinwiddie. I hope that after reading these books it will bring me to appreciating the sciences more and help me engage to the subject. My summer plans are pretty monotone, babysit my sibs, read, study, watch dramas and perhaps volunteer.
Last month was my sister's birthday, I thought she turned 13 but she turned 12 this year, my bad xP Kids nowadays seem to be growing more taller, she's almost my height and I'm 5'6" or 5'7" (not sure).
Last Tuesday was my elementary school's spring concert. My mom and I attended to see my brother and sister perform. I'm quite proud of my sister because she participates in many extra curricular activities (except sports because those are after school). Even now I still never do as much as she does. She was one of the MC's for the concert. We watched mainly choir performances with instrumentals, steel pan, dancing, wood-wind players, string players, and a stop motion animation. After every single performance parents were allowed to take pictures of their young one so every once in a while you would see a mob of parents run up to snap a photo. Really showed me how much memories are of importance to us.
On another note, Vampire Diaries season 2 ended =( Shows like these keep me looking forward to the next week. I was very shocked when Vicky and Anna came back to life, in my head I'm like "What's going to happen to Bonnie?!". I'll be sure to look forward to season 3! Not sure if it will come in the Fall or Winter of next year.
